Use EFT in Decisions

Jun 04, 05 Use EFT in Decisions

One of the ways you can use EFT regularly is in making decisions. Whether you need to make a small or big decision, use EFT to get out of your head and into your body. Move aside the mind chatter and get into your feelings. Trust yourself to find the answers inside. Instead of making up your mind, make up your heart and mind by using EFT.

What people often do when making decisions is to go outside for the answers. They talk to people they trust–family, friends and others–to help make the “right” decision. The more people a person talks to, the more data overload and analysis there is, contributing to confusion and indecision. What’s interesting is that the advice given is based on other people’s inner thoughts and feelings. Why not rely on your own?

Here are some pungent quotes about indecision.

“Fears, indecision, and frustration feed on words. Without words they
usually stop. Words are at times good for looking back, but they
are confining when I need to act in the present.”
–Hugh Prather

“The risk of a wrong decision is preferable to the terror of indecision.”
–Maimonides

“Indecision is the seedling of fear.”
–Napoleon Hill

“Nothing is so exhausting as indecision, and nothing is so futile.”
–Bertrand Russell

“Indecision may or may not be my problem.”
–Jimmy Buffett

The way to surpass indecision is straightforward. Trust your inner self for the answers. EFT is a great tool to help when you’re having difficulty making a decision. The EFT Setup phrase or affirmation is: “Even though _______, I deeply and completely accept myself.”

Start playing with some of these affirmations and then fine tune them for your specific needs:

Even though I’m not sure what to do about this (decision, situation or problem) …
Even though I’m not sure what action to take about …
Even though I’m not sure what the “right” decision is about …
Even though I’m afraid I’ll make the wrong decision …
Even though I don’t want to make this decision …

I deeply and completely love, trust, and accept myself to reveal the answer that’s best for my highest good.

Other ending phrases you may find of value:

I trust myself for the answer to be known to me.
I always know the answer that is best for me.
I trust the knowing part of me for a custom-made answer.
I trust the knowing wisdom inside of me.
I value the answers I receive from within.

After you use EFT to go inside for the answers, be prepared to write down or listen to what you receive. It may happen right after you finish tapping or later. Follow your intuition and pay attention to what comes up. Let go of any tension, anxiety or worry about how or when you’ll get the answer. You’ll know.

The last step is to act on your answers. Move forward by doing, even if it’s only a small step. That way your inner self knows to keep offering answers to you. Trust, honor and act upon the answers you receive from the core of your being.
