Sugar-Coated Patience Pill
There’s a pill for all kinds of things. How about a pill for patience? There’s definitely a market out there for it. It could outsell Lipitor, Plavix, Nexium, Zocor and all of those planetary sounding names. We need to be patient until they come up with such a pill. Patience is something that most of us find challenging. If you want to create more abundance in your life, patience or allowing, is perhaps the most important step. EFT Master Practitioner, Carol Look, recently wrote an interesting article on patience, the Law of Attraction and EFT.
Being Patient Attracts What You Want
By Carol Look
Remember, abundance refers to anything you want — vibrant health, financial wealth, emotional balance, spiritual connection…
Patience does not come easily to me at all, and never has. However, I have learned a lot about the value of patience and and have improved dramatically in practicing it regularly.
How is patience connected to abundance? When you are impatient, it slows down the manifestation process. When you are patient and joyful, it speeds up the process. Patience implies confidence, poise, you know what you want is around the corner and there’s no need to be irritable or impatient about the timing of your manifestations.
Consider what patience communicates to the Universe…faith. When you have faith in the Universe, it delivers.

Basically, the Law of Attraction says that “like attracts like.” We’re like a magnet and we draw people and things to us that are on the same wavelength or vibration. When you beam out positive energy, you attract positive people and things. On the flip side, negative energy attracts negative people, situations and circumstances. Having strong feelings of lack or not having enough of something, attracts more lack.
After knowing what you want, a key step to the Law of Attraction is allowing the thing you want to manifest, to unfold and happen. This requires being patient. The best way to put this is to quote American writer, Barbara Johnson. She said, “Patience is the ability to idle your motor when you feel like stripping your gears.” Some anonymous person said, “The secret of patience is doing something else in the meanwhile.”
We live in a world of “making things happen.” We need to have the patience to know when to take inspired action. To the contrary, patience isn’t sitting idle. One of the best quotes on patience is by British politician, poet, critic and prolific novelist, Edward G. Bulwer-Lytton. He said, “Patience is not passive; on the contrary, it is active; it is concentrated strength.”
A final note about patience. Check out The Patience Bossa, a video duet featuring Debbie Harry of Blondie and and Perry Farrell from Jane’s Addiction, directed by Gary Oldman.
Here are the lyrics. The Patience Bossa lyrics. Yes, if you have a slower Internet connection, while the video is loading just be patient.
