Stress Overload at Work

Although intuitively people know that stress can affect their health and well-being, a new study in Great Britain shows that chronic stress has a direct biological impact on our bodies. The study, published in the European Heart Journal, was with 10,000 British civil servants over a 12-year period. One of its findings was that chronically stressed workers — people determined to be under severe pressure — had a 68 percent higher risk of developing heart disease. That’s shocking. What’s particularly concerning it that the risks were particularly strong among younger people — those under 50.

EFT & Feng Shui Experiment

Back in December, I went to a charity auction and won a four-hour Feng Shui consultation by Taylor Vance of Feng Shui Studio. Although I’d heard of Feng Shui, I really didn’t know anything about. Feng Shui is about being in harmony with your environment. It made sense to me that if EFT is about clearing blocks of energy internally, Feng Shui is like EFT for your house. I thought, “I wonder how EFT might be combined with Feng Shui?”

I was exercising on an elliptical machine today and just happened to tune in to the Oprah show while I was working my legs. Wonderful show. Its theme was, The Secret Behind “the Secret,” featuring Louise Hay, Martha Beck, and Cheryl Richardson. (Cheryl is on the EFT Advisory Board.) Throughout the show, before the commercial breaks, they had vignettes about how people over the past year, had used the “Law of Attraction” to change their lives.
