Lucky Bill
April 27, 2005
We call my dad “Lucky Bill” because he thinks he’s the luckiest guy in the world. He smiles like the kid in the old cigar label graphic. He’s immensely grateful for just about everything in his life. Bill’s the supreme optimist. At 83, he’s got Parkinson’s disease plus other annoying and painful physical aging stuff. Yet, even on a bad day, Lucky Bill will tell you he’s feeling marvelous. Curious about learning new things, he loves doing EFT. Yesterday, we tapped on the telephone almost 2,800 miles away from each other. Here’s what happened.
Do the EFT PPP
April 25, 2005
If you’re new to EFT, after learning it (see Learning the ABCs of EFT), one of the first things I’d recommend is doing “The Personal Peace Procedure.” It’s one of the most powerful things you can do for yourself and others. In essence, it’s a tool for dissolving emotional things that bother you and for resolving internal conflicts. The PPP helps generate peace of heart and mind. It’s the way to creating your internal “peace core.”
Stop the World–I Want to Get Off
April 21, 2005
That’s the title of the hit musical by actor, singer and composer, Anthony Newley. Do you ever feel so overwhelmed that you want to stop or freeze time? Things are spinning out of control and you can’t catch up? Or perhaps it feels more like being on a continuously revolving carousel that you don’t know how to get off. Although you may not be able to alter circumstances around you in a fast paced world, you can use EFT to change how you feel and decelerate.
Mother’s May
April 17, 2005
Mother’s Day will be here in a few weeks. It’s celebrated, most often in May, in more than 40 countries around the world. Perhaps there is nothing as strong as the bond between a mother and her child. If your mother is alive, you have time to get her a gift or write her a letter or poem. Tell her you love her in a way that is special to her. Or, if your relationship is strained, it may be an opportune time for forgiveness or reconciliation. EFT is a gentle tool for this.
Stress: The Ticking Time Bomb
April 14, 2005
A time bomb is something that threatens to have an abruptly disastrous outcome in the future. Stress overload is a ticking time bomb in the USA and around the world. Over time, chronic stress explodes into making people literally sick with a wide range of “dis-eases,” including ulcers, colitis, heart disease and more. In fact, stress may be the single biggest contributor to illness in the modern world. Doing EFT regularly is one of the best ways to disarm stress and stop the clock.
