Get Blissed

Maryam Webster is fun to talk with because she’s so knowledgeable and passionate about what she does and who she is. Her long awaited book, Everyday Bliss, was published in May. I immediately bought copies for my wife, Linda, and my two daughters. If you don’t yet have the book, I highly recommend getting it. Here’s what Linda has to say about Everyday Bliss.

Is It Safe?

June 30, 2008

In doing EFT you might get nice changes going from a 10 to a two or one, but not get to a zero. When this happens, very often I ask the question, “What prevents you from getting to a zero,” or “Would you be willing to go to a zero if you knew it was safe to make that change?” If the answer is yes, it’s a matter of rephrasing the setup statement to include a safety wording such as, “Even though I feel [whatever the issue is], I choose to get to a zero knowing I will feel safe and secure. If the answer is no, play with discovering what the resistance is. You might ask, “What would it take for you to know that it was safe to change?”

Stress Sucks

June 11, 2008

Stress overload sucks away your energy, your health and well-being. The common cultural belief about stress is that if you’re not stressed, you’re not working hard enough. Right? Stress equals success? Wrong. It’s better to be in the “flow.” This is the mental state defined by positive psychologist Mihály Csíkszentmihályi. In the “flow” is being fully immersed in what you’re doing by having a feeling of energized focus, full involvement, and success in the process of the activity. EFT helps you get in the flow by releasing blocked or negative energy that results from stress.

For EFT to become accepted mainstream requires a two-pronged push/pull strategy. It needs research to be accepted by health care professionals (push). Plus, consumers (EFT users) need to pull from the grassroots level. Pharmaceutical companies know very well how to create “pull.” They’ve been doing it with television advertising in the USA for years. So, without giant ad budgets, how do you create more pull for EFT? How do you make learning EFT fun? We’ll tell you one way we did it.

Shining the Spotlight on Dawson Church

May 16, 2008

Are you interested in EFT and other energy healing methods, but want to know the science behind it? Look no further. Meet Dawson Church. Just don’t try to label him because he has multiple abilities. First, he’s an author. In fact, he’s authored or edited over 200 books in the fields of health, psychology and spirituality. His latest book is The Genie in Your Genes. It’s a “must have” book for your library because it outlines the latest studies on the effects of consciousness on the expression of DNA molecule and how consciousness will become the front line of medicine in the coming decade. Think your health is genetic? Not really. Your beliefs, feelings, diet, environment and more all play a part in healthy living too. Genetically your health may be predisposed, but not predetermined. Change your thinking. Change your health.
