As I’ve said before, one of the things I like best about EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is that it’s easy to teach to people. Of course the basics of basketball are simple to teach also. Just shoot the ball through the hoop. That’s about it. And … to excel at basketball, or to be a great coach, takes years of practice and doing. It’s a continuous process. The same holds true for developing a mastery of EFT.
Erasing Negative “Writing on Your Walls”

One of the best classes I took in college was a course in cultural anthropology. That may have been the first time it dawned on me that people’s beliefs were formed so much by what culture they were brought up in. A child from America has different beliefs than a child raised in Bolivia, China or France. The problem is that we think our beliefs are universal “truths.”

The Febuary 21, 2005 edition of Newsweek had a series of profound articles about working mothers. The lead article was titled, Mommy Madness. Much of the content was based on the new book by Judith Warner called Perfect Madness: Motherhood in the Age of Anxiety.

Just Say No to Drugs?

The United States government spends over $180 million on anti-drug ads. Remember the phrase made popular in the eighties, “Just say no” to drugs? It referred to illegal drugs. The problem? How could teenagers and young people buy into the idea when they saw adults, including their parents and grandparents, taking so many over the counter and prescription drugs? I would amend the slogan to, “Just say no to drugs … unless they’re prescribed or on television.”
