On This Memorial Day

May 30, 2005

Today is Memorial Day in the United States. As a holiday, it commemorates those members of the armed forces killed in war. Memorial Day was officially proclaimed and observed in May, 1868, three years after the American Civil War ended, when flowers were placed on the graves of Union and Confederate soldiers at Arlington National Cemetery near Washington, DC. We honor the men and women lost in all wars on this holiday, officially observed on the last Monday in May.

EFT, Proxemics & Your Heart

May 26, 2005

Last week, I was on a flight from the East coast of the United States to the West coast. It was about a five hour flight. Two strangers, a man and a woman, sitting right next to me developed a focused conversation that lasted the whole trip. The things they discussed were intimate and self-revealing, covering topics two best friends might not even discuss. It was as if they were oblivious to anyone else being on the airplane. Was it because they were so physically close and felt so comfortable being in each other’s personal space? How important is personal space in doing EFT?

Almost 20 years ago, she was going through a tough period in her life. After doing traditional therapy, she wasn’t satisfied. She discovered Reiki, EMDR and EFT. The rest is history. Listen to our EFTzone Spotlight on Carol Tuttle.

Do You Freak Out Over Tests?

May 16, 2005

In school, some people study hard and know their subject matter. The problem is that they freeze up at testing time. A key reason people don’t score well is that they get anxious and fearful. One of my daughters used to get so worked up before a test that she would worry herself sick to her stomach. Taking the SAT, really sent her over the edge. EFT practitioner, Gwenn Bonnell, offers some excellent tips on how to use EFT to take the terror out of taking tests.
